The DRA Mentoring Program is a wonderful opportunity for students and new reporters to develop their skills through the guidance of a professional in the reporting community and for seasonedreporters to further their own growth in by revisiting the basics with students and new reporter ensuring the continiued success of our wonderfull profession. Please read the expectations below to determine if you will be able to make the necessary commitments to ensure the success of the mentoring program.

Program Requirements:

• Attend the mentor training session.
• Arrange a one-on-one meeting with your mentee as early as possible to establish goals and develop a program.
• Maintain regular contact with your mentee via phone, email and/or in-person meeting.
• Complete the program evaluation and monthly reports and requested.
• Contact the DRA Mentor Program coordinator and your mentee immediately if circumstances require you to stop participating in the mentor program or if your mentee is not fulfilling his/her responsibilities.

By completing this form, I am indicating my willingness to participate as a mentor in the DRA Mentor Program. I have read the above expectations. I understand my responsibilities as a participant in the program and am able to commit to completing them. I understand that I will be contacted when I have been matched with a mentee. I understand that I cannot have a professional working relationship with my mentee during the course of the program
